My Powerbook has been left plugged in and switched on with the lid closed for about 12 hours or so.

I've just opened the lid and it's still running but the trackpad doesn't move the mouse pointer and the button doesn't work either. I thought the whole OS had locked up at first, but the pointer moves with RAmiga+Cursor keys and I'm using Odyssey to post this now.

I saw in the changelog for 3.2 something about a problem with the trackpad stopping when the temp sensor changes or something along those lines being fixed now.

Is this the same problem? I'm running 3.2 btw.

If this happens, try placing your whole hand on the touchpad for about 3 seconds. It will likely unlock then.

I was having issues with unresponsive touchpad in my Powerbook and its definately better now. Still not perfect, but rest might be a hardware problem.

Thanks, I'll give it a try if it happens again.

Btw, it's best not to run the PowerBook or iBook with the lid closed for too long - OSX goes to sleep mode exactly because the box can't cool itself properly when the lid is closed.

Thanks for the tip, is suspend to ram planned for MorphOS at some future stage?
